spacer.gif The Project YES/YMCA Youth Center provides free regularly scheduled after-school programs Monday through Friday from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm during the school year, and from 12:30 pm to 6:30 pm during the summer for local youth. The programs, which range from classes in mural painting and digital arts to projects in service learning and civic responsibility, aim to empower youth and assist in the development of leadership, critical-thinking, community-building, and problem-solving skills. In addition to gaining valuable skills, youth receive a free snack, assistance with homework, and access to an award-winning computer lab.

"Since I've been coming to Project YES, I have been noticed all around the community and around my school as a leader. I am a leader because I help out in the community and I influence others to help out too."
-- Middle School Student

"I like coming to Project YES because it gives me something to do
after school. I like creating art and helping people understand life
and the things that happen to us."
-- Middle School Student
