Noël A. d'Albertis, MSW, Executive Director
Noël d'Albertis moved to Colorado in 2007 after receiving a Masters degree in Social Work from the University of WI-Madison. Noël has 5 years experience as a Montessori Teacher and over 9 years of non-profit management at a local community center in Madison, WI. While working as the Assistant Center Director for the Wil-Mar Neighborhood Center, Noël simultaneously worked as the Youth Programs Director where she designed, implemented, and oversaw programming for children and youth ages 5-19. During her tenure at the Wil-Mr Neighborhood Center, Noël implemented programming designed to empower youth via leadership, civic engagement, arts, and recreation.

Laura Cloak, Program Manager
Laura, a native Coloradoan, has been away from herhome-sweet-home for the last six years while, among other things, she received a BA in English and in Communication Studies/Theatre. She is thrilled to be back in Colorado again, where the joyful union of mountains and plains greets her each morning. Cooky, theatrical, kind, and poetic, Laura hopes to inspire the young people at Project YES with a plethora of passions, including environmental stewardship, literature and poetry, creative writing, and theatre and visual arts.

Amy McGreevy, Program Manager
Amy McGreevy is a native of Washington State where she attended Gonzaga University in Spokane. For the past few years, Amy has held several positions in the arena of service-learning and social action, attending to the needs of a variety of populations throughout Washington State. Her positions have included one year as an AmeriCorps volunteer running youth mentoring programs, a summer school assistant teacher, and a member of the Homeless Artisans and Writer’s Coalition in Spokane, WA. In fall 2005, Amy moved to Colorado to pursue a graduate degree in Educational Psychology at the University of Colorado at Boulder. In this time, Amy has been an employee of the Boulder Valley School District at New Vista High School, an alternative high school with a focus on community involvement.

Melisa Slythe, Youth Center Coordinator
Melisa comes to Project YES through its partnership with the YMCA of Boulder Valley.

Tara Petersen, Office Manager
Tara is a recent resident of Colorado, and is excited to finally be in a place she can call home after living on 3 continents over the past 4 years. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in English and Secondary Education, and graduated from Southern Adventist University in Chattanooga, TN. After graduating in 2006, Tara moved to New Zealand to work as a team leader for an Adventure Education program serving at-risk youth. During Tara’s two-year stay she also worked for World Vision New Zealand, which really sparked her passion for non-profit work. In September 2007, Tara and her best friend Erik got married and traveled extensively in Asia for 3 months before "settling down". They are now happy to be back in the USA and nearer to family and friends. Tara enjoys backpacking, the smell of old books, travel and thunderstorms.

Abigale Shepard, LYFTS Assistant
Abby is from Littleton, Colorado and is attending the University of Colorado at Boulder to earn a degree in International Affairs and Economics with an emphasis on Social Justice, Service Learning and Environmental Sustainability. Abby has volunteered for the SLP Program at Lafayette and Ryan Elementary and developed an enthusiasm for service learning. Abby has a passion for mountain biking, snowboarding, and leadership development.

Allie Van Buskirk, SLP Assistant
Allie is a senior communications major at the University of Colorado Boulder, with a focus on human connection and the sporadic yet healing energies that spawn from it. Inspired by alternative education, the brilliant mission and open hearts, she was drawn to work with Project YES. In hopes of sharing these passions with the Lafayette community while exploring her love for children and the arts, she joined the organization to celebrate the incredible possibilities they bring to the world!

Sandra Martínez-Zuniga. LYFTS Program Coordinator
Sandra is originally from Peru, but has been living in Colorado since June 2007. She just started working at Project Yes in August 2008 and loves it! "I think promoting cultural sensitivity through art is extremely important to the wellbeing of the students and the community." Sandra holds a Master's degree in Latin American Studies from Vanderbilt University, and is fluent in Spanish, English and Portuguese. She has previously lived in Ecuador and Brazil. Sandra says that she is "obsessed with traveling and experimenting with food, and thanks to my husband, Dave, I discovered I love hiking as well!"
