MISSION & GOALS

Project YES (Youth Envisioning Social change) provides leadership opportunities for young people through the arts and service learning. For over 15 years, Project YES has served Boulder County youth, ages 5-18, with free year-round, positive youth development programming that nurtures and develops integrity, character, and leadership. Through such programs, Project YES youth experience an increased sense of self-efficacy, improved positive decision making skills, and practice as role models for their peers.

Project YES youth, staff, facilitators, and volunteers design and implement after-school programming, workshops, and community initiatives to meet the following goals:

Goal 1: Youth are recognized as leaders in their community and schools
Goal 2: Youth identify themselves as leaders
Goal 3: Youth engage in positive social change
Goal 4: Youth engage in positive, personal expression
Goal 5: Project YES is inclusive at all levels of the organization
Goal 6: Schools and communities support Project YES programming
Goal 7: Project YES maintains a diversified revenue stream
Goal 8: Project YES will provide accessible, positive youth development
