Project YES (Youth Envisioning Social change) provides leadership opportunities for young people through the arts and service-learning.
Youth Center Program:
Volunteers are needed to serve as mentors or workshop facilitators for
youth ages 12-18 during select program hours between 3:00 - 6:00pm,
Monday through Friday.
Youth Center volunteer objectives:
To provide youth a safe, community space after school
To provide positive youth development opportunities
To support youth progress academically
To encourage youth to participate in group and community activities

Service-Learning Partnership Program:
Minimum Committment: 2 hours per week
Volunteers are needed to serve as mentors or program facilitators for
youth ages 5-12 on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 2:30-4:30 at
select Lafayette schools.
Service-Learning volunteer objectives:

To provide youth with individual support and attention as needed
To support youth progress academically
To support youth in program activities and community engagement

Fund Development:
Volunteers are needed to support Project YES's current
fundraising initiatives including a serve-a-thon, media appeal, Pepsi
Refresh, and grant writing.

Board of Directors:
Board members commit two years of their time to Project YES,
which includes monthly board meetings in Lafayette. Project YES is
looking for board members with the following expertise: financial
planning, fundraising, corporate relations, project management, and
marketing.

Special Events Planning:
Volunteers are needed to support the planning and
implementation of annual large-scale community events that occur each
November, January, and April.

Computer Lab Monitor
Minimum Committment: ongoing, 1-2 hours per week
Volunteers are needed to help Youth Center participants with school
research, writing, resumes, and using various computer programs in an
informal environment.

IT/Technical Support and Computer Maintenance
